  1. What are cookies and which are their purposes

Cookies are small text files that the visited Websites transmit to users' terminals (usually to the browser) where they are stored and then re-transmitted to the Website when the user next visits it (the so-called own first party cookies).

While browsing the website, the user may also receive cookies from other websites and webservers (the so-called third-party cookies) produced by items embedded in the same website such as: maps, images, sounds, specific links connecting to webpages from servers different from the one hosting the visited webpage. In other words, third party cookies are the ones transmitted by websites different from the currently browsed one.

The cookies can store information on your device for as long as the browsing session lasts (the so-called session cookies). They automatically expire at the end of your browsing session or they can have a pre-determined expiry period. In this case, they are stored on your computer or on other devices where they collect data from and remain there even after session closes, until your browser automatically deletes them based on that pre-determined period (the so-called permanent cookies).

The cookies are used for different purposes. Some of them are essential in order to enable users to move around the website and use its features they facilitate (the so-called technical cookies). Other ones allow website managers to analyze, in aggregate or non-aggregate form, the flow and the behavior of users on a website (the so-called analytics or monitoring cookies). The last ones are used to deliver adverts relevant to an identified profile tailored to interests associated with the website activity tied to that profile (the so-called profiling cookies).
For more general information about cookies that we use on our website along with their purpose and functionality, continue to read the following policy. Moreover, you can freely choose to provide your consent to the access of such cookies or to disable them through your browser.

  2. Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used on the Website for the sole purpose of allowing you to browse it and to make use of its different functions. They are first party cookies as they are controlled and installed directly by our Website.
Some technical cookies are essential in order to improve the user’s experience and help your browser navigate through this website, or allow you to log into your personal area and access services, such as purchases, offered in the dedicated area (the so-called navigation cookies). The navigation cookies are usually session cookies, therefore are automatically deactivated once the browsing session ends.

Other technical cookies allow the user to access services according to selectable criteria such as language, configuration for the country from which the user accesses services, improving in this way the user’s navigation experience (the so-called personalization cookies). For this reason, the personalization cookies are often permanent cookies, thus they are stored and memorized on your device even after the browsing session ends until you decide to delete them manually or until your browser automatically deletes them based on the pre-determined period.

At the moment the Website uses the following technical cookies:
